“As of late Monday afternoon, GOP leaders were mulling the timing and parameters of a GOP expulsion resolution as a groundswell of Republicans appeared ready to kick one of their own out of the House, further whittling down their party’s razor-thin hold on power,” The Messenger reports.
“But the GOP leadership’s next play might be forced by Democrats — Reps. Robert Garcia of California and Dan Goldman of New York plan to offer a privileged resolution on Tuesday to expel Santos, according to a source familiar with the plans. The House, then, would have just two legislative days to vote on the measure.”
