“Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) threw last-minute support behind Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday ahead of New York City’s contentious mayoral election next week, backing a campaign that has seen few endorsements from top Democratic Party leaders,” Politico reports.

A new Quinnipiac poll in New York City finds Zohran Mamdani leading the mayoral race with 43% support among likely voters, followed by Andrew Cuomo at 33% and Curtis Sliwa at 14%.

“Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo earned nearly $5 million working as a private consultant in 2024, a sum so large it puts him in the top 0.5 percent of New York City earners,” the New York Times reports.

“The tax documents show that Mr. Cuomo derived $4,712,978, almost all of his income last year, from Innovation Strategies, a pass-through company created for his consulting work before he ran for mayor of New York City.”

“By using his company as an in-between, Mr. Cuomo avoided having to disclose the individual clients who paid for his services.”

“Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has repeatedly criticized his rival, Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, for living in a rent-stabilized apartment, occupied a rent-stabilized unit himself when he was a young professional living in New York City in the 1980s,” the New York Times reports.
