“Some large hedge funds and money managers, sensing a potential shift in momentum, are getting behind trades that could pay out if Donald Trump beats Kamala Harris in the presidential election,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“While most polling still shows a tight race, that shift has rippled across markets in recent weeks, boosting assets seen as likely to benefit from a Republican victory.”
“Donald Trump is expected to record an interview with podcasting behemoth Joe Rogan on Friday,” Politico reports.
“Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long occupied the top positions in national podcast ratings, and Trump’s appearance on his show continues the campaign’s push to win young male voters.”
A federal judge on Tuesday ordered Rudy Giuliani “to turn over all his valuable possessions and his Manhattan penthouse apartment to the control of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, the Georgia election workers he defamed and to whom he now owes $150 million,” CNN reports.
“Judge Lewis Liman of the federal court in Manhattan said Giuliani must turn over his interest in the property to the women in seven days, to a receivership they will control. The judge’s turnover order of the luxury items is swift and simple, but the penthouse apartment will have its control transferred so Freeman and Moss can sell it, potentially for millions of dollars.”
Reuters: “The Democratic National Committee estimates that 1.6 million U.S. voters abroad are eligible to vote in one of the seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — that will likely determine the outcome of the election.”
“The group is believed to favor Democrats. Among people who used Vote From Abroad, a nonpartisan voter support tool linked to the DNC, three-quarters of overseas voters in the 2020 election said they were Democrats.”
“So for the first time in a presidential election the DNC has given Democrats Abroad funding – around $300,000 – to help register Americans overseas to vote and ramp up its mail-in voting operations and other efforts.”
“House Republicans are gearing up for an intra-party war early next year over the ability to defenestrate a speaker. While the majority of Republicans despise the tool, which has single-handedly caused repeated chaos this Congress, a number of conservatives are prepared to fight to keep it,” Politico reports.
“Speaker Mike Johnson and other leadership allies have openly signaled that they want to raise the number of members required to force a vote on deposing a speaker; currently, a single lawmaker can call for a referendum.”
“But that fight is inextricably tied to Johnson’s ambitions to remain speaker — the members who want to see the rule to remain as it is are some of the same ones who haven’t committed to supporting his bid for the gavel, and they’re not afraid to leverage that power.”
CNN: “In the past two years, Trump has called for every major American TV news network to be punished, according to a CNN review of his speeches and social media posts.”
“He has imprecisely but repeatedly invoked the government’s licensing of broadcast TV airwaves and has said on at least 15 occasions that certain licenses should be revoked. His anti-broadcasting broadsides – against CBS, ABC, NBC, and even Fox – are almost always in reaction to interview questions he dislikes or programming he detests.”
Donald Trump was scheduled to appear at a virtual town hall with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) today at 2 p.m. — but it was canceled, with the organizers citing “changes in Trump’s schedule,” Politico reports.
“This event is the most recent cancellation in a string of media events that the former president has withdrawn from.”
The owner of the Los Angeles Times has blocked the paper from endorsing a candidate for president this year, Semafor reports.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise told NOTUS that, in the first 100 days, Republicans are looking to pass a package through budget reconciliation that would cut taxes and provide new funding for a border wall.
Said Scalise: “I’ve already talked to President Trump about the top priorities he would want.”
“Bruce Springsteen will headline Vice President Kamala Harris’ first joint rally with former President Barack Obama in Atlanta on Thursday, kicking off a series of concerts in battleground states,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
“Springsteen’s concert is part of a wave of new efforts by Democrats to pump up early voting turnout in Georgia amid a tight race between Harris and former President Donald Trump.”
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Springsteen will headline a similar rally in Philadelphia on Monday.
“A federal judge has ordered Army officials to release their records by the end of this week regarding President Donald Trump’s controversial visit to Arlington National Cemetery this summer,” the Military Times reports.
“When Jamie Dimon surprised the political and financial elite early this year by praising some of Donald Trump’s policies, the longtime Democrat set off speculation that he had switched his allegiance to the Republican candidate,” the New York Times reports.
“He has done little since to tamp that down. The usually outspoken chief executive of JPMorgan, the nation’s largest bank, has been uncharacteristically vague about his political leanings of late. In an interview last week, he even left open the door to endorsing Mr. Trump — whose behavior in the aftermath of the last election Mr. Dimon once described as ‘treason.'”
“In private, however, Mr. Dimon has made clear that he supports Vice President Kamala Harris and would consider a role, perhaps Treasury secretary, in her administration. He has also told his associates that the former president’s 2020 election denialism remains close to a disqualifying factor.”
Donald Trump was asked about his plan to get “artificial foods” banned in urban communities.
Said Trump: “So, Bobby Kennedy, right? Everybody likes Bobby Kennedy. And he’s so big into the health food and women things. Everything. He wants to do things.”

A new Siena College poll finds Vice President Kamala Harris with her largest lead, 19 points, against Donald Trump, and now leads 58% to 39% among likely voters, up from 55% to 42% in September.
Also important: Voters favor Democrats for Congress over Republicans, 54% to 37%, up a little from 52% to 39% in September.
