Ball: “Are you going to vote for him?”
Gilmore: “Sure.”

“When delegates were selected at Virginia’s state convention in Harrisonburg this past weekend, Gilmore, 66, put his name forward and was shut out.”
Jim Gilmore is ending his long-shot bid for the Republican presidential nomination, USA Today reports.
“Gilmore suspended his campaign following a poor performance in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday, which followed an even worse showing Feb. 1 in Iowa, where he barely campaigned and was the choice of only 12 caucusgoers. Fewer than a dozen people showed up at his New Hampshire election night party.”

He told one supporter: “I don’t think we’ll win this thing, but let’s see if we can get some recognition.”
On Iowa caucus night, former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore got twelve votes, National Review reports.
“That’s only twelve votes ahead of you, and you weren’t even running. He finished 107 votes behind ‘other.'”
