Daughter Says Don’t Vote for Her Father

Emily West is telling everyone who listens not to vote for her father for a Missouri House seat, the Kansas City Star reports.

“Her dad is Steve West, 64, the Republican candidate for the Missouri General Assembly who made headlines after winning the GOP primary in August when word spread about his radio show and website through which he regularly espoused an array of bigotry including homophobia, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and outright racism.”

Said Ms. West: “A lot of his views are just very out there. He’s made multiple comments that are racist and homophobic and how he doesn’t like the Jews.”

Missouri Candidate Said ‘Hitler Was Right’

Steve West (R), who is running for the Missouri state House, has a history of making anti-Semitic, racist and homophobic comments online, including saying “Hitler was right” about who was “behind” the events taking place in Germany before World War II, the Kansas City Star reports.

Said West: “Looking back in history, unfortunately, Hitler was right about what was taking place in Germany. And who was behind it.”

Another comment: “Jewish people can be beautiful people, but there’s ideologies associated with that that I don’t agree with. Jews today are a remnant of the tribe of Judah that rejected Christ.”
