President Trump denounced the attempted bomb attacks on several prominent Democratic Party figures, which he called “despicable acts,” as law enforcement officials across the country scrambled to identify the person or people behind the packages, the New York Times reports.
He also called on the nation to come together: “In these times we have to unify, we have to come together.”
