Illinois state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit (D) told Rep. Peter Breen (R), who was arguing against a bill she supported, that she would like to infect his loved ones with legionella bacteria, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Said Kifowit: “I would like to make him a broth of Legionella and pump it into the water system of his loved ones, so that they can be infected, they can be mistreated, they can sit and suffer by getting aspirin instead of being properly treated and ultimately die.”
Later, Kifowit said her words were “misheard, misrepresented, misinterpreted and mischaracterized.”
