President Trump will speak to Americans from the Oval Office at 9 p.m. ET to address what he says is a crisis along the nation’s southern border. Trump is trying to pressure congressional Democrats to give him $5.7 billion to build a border wall and end a government shutdown.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will give the Democratic response after the president speaks.
