South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg (R) told a 911 dispatcher that he had “no idea” what he hit the night he fatally struck a man on the road while driving home from a political event, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports.
Said Ravnsborg: “It sure hit me, smashed my windshield.”
When the dispatcher asked if it was a deer, Ravnsborg replied: “I have no idea… Yeah, it could be, I mean it was right in the roadway.”
