Bernie Sanders Counters Joe Manchin

After Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) wrote a Wall Street Journal op-ed last week calling for a “strategic pause” in advancing the $3.5 trillion spending package, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said he won’t support the $1.2 trillion bipartisan bill without it: “No infrastructure bill without the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill.”

In a 50-50 Senate, Democrats need both men to pass anything.
