Hung Cao (R), who is running in the Republican primary for the right to challenge Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), accused an ailing congresswoman of waiting to step down from Congress until she is fully vested in the U.S. congressional pension, The Messenger reports.
Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) — who announced in September that she would not seek re-election because of an aggressive form of Parkinson’s Disease — defeated Cao in 2022.
