Gingrich Warns Moderates About Impeachment Vote

December 5, 2023 at 10:30 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) suggested moderate Republicans may go along with a new attempt to launch a presidential impeachment inquiry against President Biden because they could face primary threats if they don’t, The Messenger reports.

Said Gingrich: “If you’re a Republican, do you really want to guarantee a primary opponent by voting against looking into Biden? This doesn’t impeach him. This simply gives Congress additional power to force the White House to reveal documents and force people to come testify.”
