Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) “was elected the next chair of the House Freedom Caucus on Monday, empowering the Virginia firebrand to guide the powerful MAGA-aligned group as it plots its next steps heading into an election year,” Politico reports.
“While Good’s Freedom Caucus colleagues praise his conservative bonafides, some have taken issue with his combative record including his involvement in ousting Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from the speakership earlier this year. Plus, Good has not been a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, unlike most members of the group.”
