Ukrainian City’s Fall Shows the Cost of U.S. Aid Delays

“President Joe Biden blamed U.S. lawmakers’ failure to approve emergency aid to Ukraine for the fall of Avdiivka, which handed Russia a significant battlefield victory after months of fighting for control of the city,” Bloomberg reports.

New York Times: “The U.S. could not send additional artillery shells to Ukraine because Congress had not authorized more funding… As a result, Ukraine’s forces were not able to successfully counter the waves of troops Russia was sending into the city.”
