“Voters in 15 states, including two titans, California and Texas, will head to the polls on March 5 for a Super Tuesday that is likely to set a White House rematch in November between President Biden and former President Donald Trump,” the New York Times reports.
Playbook: “Super Tuesday is super this year not because of the presidential primaries, which have been sapped of much drama, but because of the scores of notable down-ballot races. These contests tend to get overlooked in a presidential year, but the direction of both parties will be shaped by the results in 31 state primaries and caucuses and 115 House district primaries happening today.”
