GOP Candidate Exits Race After Trump Endorsed Opponent

Kelly Daughtry (R) suspended her congressional campaign in North Carolina’s 13th congressional district after Donald Trump endorsed her opponent, Brad Knott (R), in the Republican primary, the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

The ballots had already been printed and voting had already started in the May 14 run off.
