More than 210 candidates have stood down ahead of France’s runoff election as President Emmanuel Macron and a left-wing coalition seek to block the far right, France 24 reports.
The centrist and left-wing parties have agreed to drop their candidates in districts where either’s candidates may split the vote in favor of the far-right.
