President-elect Donald Trump shocked the country by nominating Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) — who is under investigation for sex trafficking — to be Attorney General. Equally eyebrow raising are his picks of Fox News host Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) for director of national intelligence.

There’s already opposition to these picks from some Republican senators, but Trump could trigger a constitutional power play to get his appointments through.
