President-elect Donald Trump has spoken with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) ahead of the speaker vote Friday, Punchbowl News reports.
Roy has been sharply critical of Speaker Mike Johnson in the wake of the government funding fight last month and has said he is undecided as to whether he will vote for Johnson on the floor Friday.
