President Joe Biden has pardoned members and staff of the Jan. 6 select committee on his last day in office, Punchbowl News reports.
Biden has also pardoned police officers who testified before the Jan. 6 committee.
Biden also pardoned Gen. Mark Milley, the former chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.
New York Times: “The preemptive pardons just announced by President Biden for people who have been targets of President-elect Donald Trump are extraordinary. They come as Trump is preparing to issue a series of his own pardons of people who participated in the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.”
