President Trump posted on social media saying “great progress” was made in trade talks with China.
Said Trump: “A very good meeting today with China, in Switzerland. Many things discussed, much agreed to. A total reset negotiated in a friendly, but constructive, manner. We want to see, for the good of both China and the U.S., an opening up of China to American business.”

Goddard spent more than a decade as managing director and chief operating officer of a prominent investment firm in New York City. Previously, he was a policy adviser to a U.S. Senator and Governor.

Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
