FCC chair Brendan Carr “has launched a formal inquiry into Comcast and NBCUniversal, citing rising concerns about the network’s treatment of local broadcast affiliates and potential violations of federal regulations,” Newsmax reports.
The Wrap: “It’s not clear what — if anything — prompted the investigation. But it comes amid the larger context of the Trump administration’s larger attacks on independent media, which Carr has doggedly championed.”
