House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ (D-NY) discharge petition to force a vote on a clean, three-year extension of the enhanced Obamacare premium subsidies has reached 218 signatures, a major blow to Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Punchbowl News reports.
Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Mike Lawler (R-NY), Rob Bresnahan (R-PA) and Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA) all signed the petition this morning.
The House will likely vote on the measure in January.
