House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said that Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) — who said he prefers dogs to Muslims — “is a disgrace to the United States Congress. He is an Islamophobic, disgusting and unrepentant bigot,” the New York Times reports.
He added that it was “unacceptable that Mike Johnson and House Republicans continue to remain silent.”
