Senate Backs Trump’s War with Iran

Punchbowl News: “A sharply-divided Senate rejected a resolution from Sens. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) aimed at curbing President Donald Trump’s ongoing military campaign in Iran, voting down the measure 47-53.”

“Several Republicans who were on the fence heading into the vote, including Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Jerry Moran (Kan.), ultimately voted against the resolution. Sen. Todd Young (Ind.) announced his opposition Wednesday morning, while Sen. John Fetterman (Pa.) was the lone Democrat to cross the aisle to vote no with Republicans.”
