“For Republicans running in swing districts this fall, President Donald Trump’s endorsement might hurt more than it helps,” Politico reports.

“In fact, both Democrats and Republicans in the most closely contested races might be wary of being publicly backed by many of the biggest political figures or interest groups this fall, according to new results from The Politico Poll. That’s because getting their backing can, in some cases, generate backlash from voters far greater than any increase in support when compared with other groups.”
