Dan Newhouse Will Not Run Again

Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) will not seek reelection in 2026, the latest in a string of Republican retirements, Punchbowl News reports.

Newhouse, one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump after the January 6 attack on the Capitol, holds a safe red seat in central Washington. Newhouse survived two Trump-backed challengers in 2022 and 2024.
