Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton (D) was reportedly attacked at a campaign event on Sunday, WLWT reports.
According to a statement put out by Acton’s campaign, an armed individual lunged at Acton while she was at the Canfield Fair in Mahoning County, resulting in the injuries of multiple people who were nearby.
New York Times: “In his eagerness to return to the president’s good graces, Mr. Cohen now says he ‘felt pressured and coerced’ by prosecutors to testify. But he has not actually disavowed anything that he swore to under oath about Mr. Trump’s hush money scheme to cover up an affair with an adult film actress or about his former boss’s efforts to defraud his lenders.”

Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) said he “might” mount a primary challenge to Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) in 2028, NewsNation reports.
Said Deluzio: “I might, I haven’t decided that. And to be really blunt, I’m doing everything I can right now to help Democrats in Pennsylvania flip congressional seats to give Josh Shapiro a governing majority in the state Senate and grow the majority in the state House.”
He added: “John Fetterman’s nowhere to be seen on the campaign trail. And again, to be very blunt, I don’t think there’s any Democrat in Pennsylvania who wants him campaigning with them.”

House Republican Conference Chair Lisa McClain (R-MI) said while she hopes abuse allegations against Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) are “not true,” she is supporting his reelection bid for a third term because “I will support anyone with an R behind their name,” CBS News reports.
Said McClain: “At the end of the day, he’s our nominee right now. I wish the allegations weren’t true.”

“The Trump administration on Sunday asked the Supreme Court yet again to allow its plans to restrict mail-in voting before the midterms, setting up what will likely be the final legal showdown for the president’s push to impose limits on mail voting before the midterms election,” the New York Times reports.
“In an emergency application, lawyers for the administration urged the justices to clear the way for new U.S. Postal Service rules to go into effect, changing the way the agency handles mail-in ballots in the weeks before the midterm elections. They also asked the justices to allow the rules to immediately go into effect while the court considers the application.”
