A new Catawba College and YouGov poll finds Democrats leading Republicans on the generic congressional ballot, 49% to 38%.
“The unprecedented spate of mid-decade redistricting for the U.S. House has changed the congressional districts for one-tenth of Americans and significantly altered the makeup of at least one-fifth of districts, according to a new study,” the Associated Press reports.

A new Cato Institute/Morning Consult survey finds that 75% of Americans say tariffs will be important to their vote in this November’s midterm elections.
Nearly the same share—74%—say that President Trump’s tariffs increased the prices of things they buy at the store, including 66% of Republicans and 84% of Democrats.
