Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) told the Times of London that she believes Tara Reade, a former U.S. Senate staffer who has leveled sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden.
Said Omar: “I do believe Reade. Justice can be delayed but should never be denied.”
But she added that she will vote for Biden.
“A Republican candidate running to challenge Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota had her Twitter account permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter rules,” CNN reports.
“Danielle Stella says she was banned for a tweet in which she spread a baseless claim about Omar and said if the claim is true, Omar should be tried for treason and hanged.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar said that it was “stupid” for reporters to ask her about allegations that she misused campaign funds to pay the travel expenses of a man with whom she’s accused of having an affair, Fox 9 reports.
Omar’s campaign has paid at least $229,000 for a variety of purposes to E Street Group, a consulting firm operated by I’m Mynett… Mynett’s estranged wife, Beth, accused her husband and Omar of having an affair in a divorce filing made Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Superior Court.

After Alabama Republicans moved to support a resolution calling for the expulsion of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the U.S. House, the freshman lawmaker fired back on Twitter:
“I was elected with 78% of the vote by the people of Minnesota’s 5th District, not the Alabama Republican Party. If you want to clean up politics, maybe don’t nominate an accused child molester as your Senate candidate?”
“A Washington, D.C., physician alleged in divorce filings Tuesday that her husband, a national political consultant, left her after becoming romantically involved with U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, a client of his fundraising business,” the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
“In an interview, Omar denied that she is separated or dating outside her marriage.”
Said Omar: “I have no interest in really allowing the conversation about my personal life to continue.”
Weeks after “send her back” chants erupted at one of President Trump’s rallies, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) fired back by posting a photo of herself and Speaker Nancy Pelosi visiting Africa.
Said Omar: “They said ‘send her back’ but Speaker Speaker Pelosi didn’t just make arrangements to send me back, she went back with me.”
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is offering to buy Rep. Ilhan Omar a ticket to Somalia so she will “appreciate America more,” echoing President Trump’s racist statement that the Minnesota Democrat and three other congresswomen should “go back” to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,” the Washington Post reports.
“A pro-Trump Republican candidate for Congress who is aiming to unseat Ilhan Omar in Minnesota has been charged with a felony after allegedly stealing from stores,” the Guardian reports.
“Danielle Stella was arrested twice this year in Minneapolis suburbs over allegations that she shoplifted items worth more than $2,300 from a Target and goods valued at $40 from a grocery store.”
“When I said I was the president’s nightmare, well you’re watching it now. We are going to continue to be a nightmare to this president, because his policies are a nightmare to us. And we are not deterred, we are not frightened, we are ready.”

“Faith leaders in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) home district are standing firmly behind her in the face of attacks from President Trump, despite disagreeing with some of her comments on Israel,” ABC News reports.
Rabbi Avi Olitzky said he can’t “sit or stand silently while our sitting president issues such racist rhetoric.”
He added: “This is a very eerie wave of similar situations in history, be that Nazi Germany or elsewhere.”
“House Democrats erupted in fury Thursday over President Trump’s attacks at freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar at his reelection rally, fearful that crowd chants of ‘send her back’ have personally endangered her and her family,” Politico reports.
“Senior Democrats are now calling for authorities to evaluate security for Omar, as well as the three other lawmakers who Trump called out by name at his Wednesday night rally in North Carolina — warning that Trump has escalated the risk of threats or even acts of violence toward the four minority freshmen.”
Said Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL): “It’s crystal clear to me that her life is in imminent danger. He has threatened the safety of a member of Congress. That takes this to a whole different level.”

Trump was not calling his non-white targets foreign or denying their Americanness, they insisted. He merely noted that they may wish to emigrate given their deep ideological disagreement with the country’s institutions and political character.”

“New investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws,” the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
“Omar has denied the allegations in the past, dismissing them as ‘baseless rumors’… But she said little then or since about Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the former husband who swept into her life in 2009 before a 2011 separation.”
“The questions surfaced again this month in a state probe of campaign finance violations showing that Omar filed federal taxes in 2014 and 2015 with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, while she was still legally married to but separated from Elmi.”
Tucker Carlson said on Fox News that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has “spent the rest of her life attacking” the United States after immigrating to the country from Somalia.
Said Carlson: “Here’s someone who was brought to the United States at public expense simply because we’re a kind country that accepts a lot of refugees. And rather than being grateful for that, she’s spent the rest of her life attacking this country. Why?”
President Trump accused Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) of being “disrespectful” to the United States in an interview with KSTP-TV.
Said Trump: “She’s been very disrespectful to this country. She’s been very disrespectful, frankly, to Israel. She is somebody that doesn’t really understand life, real life. What it’s all about.”
He added: “She’s got a way about her that’s very, very bad for our country.”
New York Times: “During the 2016 campaign, he would not rule out creating a registry of Muslims in the United States. He claimed to have seen “thousands” of Muslims cheering on rooftops in New Jersey after Sept. 11, a statement that was widely debunked. After deadly attacks in Paris and California, Mr. Trump called for a moratorium on Muslims traveling to the United States.”
“Now, with 19 months until the 2020 election, Mr. Trump is seeking to rally his base by sounding that theme once again. And this time, he has a specific target: Representative Ilhan Omar, Democrat of Minnesota and one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress.”
