“The incredibly close race for the 22nd Congressional District got even closer Tuesday, as about 90 new votes from a bundle of about 2,500 affidavit ballots from Oneida County were counted,” the Syracuse Post Standard reports.

“Incumbent Anthony Brindisi (D) and Claudia Tenney (R) are separated by three to five votes… The candidates’ attorneys have been locked in a courtroom battle for nearly two months to determine the winner.”

A New York judge is wading through the electoral “errors and delays” that have marred the race between Rep. Anthony Brindisi (D) and former Rep. Claudia Tenney (R), one of the last remaining uncalled races in the country, the Syracuse Post-Standard reports.

The race for New York’s 22nd congressional district “appears to be over,” with Anthony Brindisi (D) widening his lead over Rep. Claudia Tenney (R), the Utica Observer Dispatch reports.

Brindisi’s lead is now more than remaining votes to be counted in Oneida County.

Anthony Brindisi (D) increased his lead over Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) as counties begin to report unofficial absentee ballot counts, the Binghamton Press reports.

With four counties unofficial absentee ballots counted Brindisi is ahead by 3,227 votes.

A new Siena College poll in New York’s 22nd congressional district finds challenger Anthony Brindisi (D) leading Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY), 46% to 44% among likely voters.

Said pollster Steven Greenberg: “In a district with 30,000 more Republicans than Democrats, Tenney is barely holding her own.”
