A new Muhlenberg College poll in Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district finds Rep. Susan Wild (D) leading Ryan Mackenzie (R), 51% to 45%.

In the presidential race, Kamala Harris holds a 50% to 47% lead over Donald Trump in the district that Joe Biden barely won four years ago.

Marty Nothstein (R), who is running for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district, “was placed on unpaid leave from his decade-long post as executive director of the Lehigh Valley velodrome in February after its board was notified he was the subject of a sexual misconduct investigation,” the Allentown Morning Call reports.

Nothstein called the accusations “100 percent false” and a “political hit job” that began less than two weeks after he announced his bid for Congress last fall. He was placed on leave as he was campaigning for the Republican primary.

John Morganelli, a Democrat running for a US House seat in Pennsylvania, offered praise for then-President-elect Trump, called on Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign and said progressives “are the least tolerant of anyone who disagrees with them” in a series of now-deleted tweets, CNN reports.

“The race in Pennsylvania’s 7th district pits the more conservative Morganelli against a slate of more liberal candidates, illustrating the intra-party ideological fights playing out nationwide among Democrats. Heading into Tuesday’s primary, progressive groups are concerned that Morganelli, someone who once floated going to work for Trump’s administration, could emerge as the party’s nominee.”
