Aide Now Seeks to Defeat His Former Boss

Just four months after helping elect Rep. Rod Blum (R-IA), Jack Melton is running as a challenger to Blum’s re-election in 2016, the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier reports.

Said Melton: “I’m sick of the Republican hate speech towards homosexuals, anti-immigration and desire to govern women’s uteruses.”

He added: “To be honest with you, it’s not about me winning. It’s about beating Rod. I do not want him to win.”

Same Election. Different Stories.

Election Day brings a flood of political news — and which sources you follow can shape the story you see.

That's why I appreciate what Ground News does. It shows how the same story is covered across the political spectrum — and highlights important stories that one side may be ignoring entirely.

And when the votes are counted and everyone starts debating what they mean, it's a useful way to get a broader view.
