A fundraiser planned for Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R) presidential campaign was canceled, “with backers saying they want to reschedule the event in the fall when more seasonal residents are in town,” the Sarasota Herald Tribune reports.
“Rubio, the U.S. Senator from Florida, was expected to appear at the fundraiser but his local supporters had trouble lining up enough high-dollar donors to make the visit worthwhile for the candidate.”

Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
