Obama Rips GOP Candidates Over Refugees

President Obama “lashed out at Republican presidential candidates who suggested that religious tests be given to refugees seeking to enter the United States out of a fear of letting terrorists into the country,” the New York Times reports.

Said Obama: “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion.”

He insisted that the American-led strategy to “degrade and destroy” the Islamic State is working: “We have the right strategy and we’re going to see it through.”
