President Obama “will make the case at a news conference Friday that he’s demonstrated he’s far from a lame duck and plans to be a prominent figure in the nation’s policy and political debates throughout 2016,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“The goal, Mr. Obama’s aides say, is to quash the notion that a sitting president fades into the background as the race to choose his successor picks up steam.”
