A new NBC News/Survey Monkey poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump nationally by just three points, 48% to 45%.

For the most part, Democrats and Republicans have fallen into line behind their party’s prospective nominee. However, independents break for Trump 44% to 36%.
