Hillary Clinton said that the United States “doesn’t do business the way Donald Trump does, assailing the presumptive Republican nominee’s economic policies and private-sector practices as dangerous for the country,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
Said Clinton: “We cannot put a person like this, with all of his empty promises, in a position of power over our lives. We cannot let him bankrupt America like one of his failed casinos.”
“Tuesday’s address was modeled after Mrs. Clinton’s speech earlier this month blasting Mr. Trump’s foreign-policy agenda and attempting to use his own words against him. This time, the former secretary of state took aim at one of the central arguments of Mr. Trump’s campaign: that his decadeslong business record qualifies him to be president.”
