“Boris Johnson will send a letter to the EU asking for a Brexit delay if no deal is agreed by 19 October, according to government papers submitted to a Scottish court,” the BBC reports.
The Guardian: “The undertaking appears to directly contradict the prime minister’s statements that the UK will leave the EU on 31 October regardless, and unattributed claims from Downing Street that Johnson will find a way to sidestep the act.”
