Playbook: “The message is said in different ways, by different people. But, for the first time in months, Congress is singing the same tune: The impeachment trial of President Donald J. Trump is all but over.”
“Questions are likely to last a while today. On Friday, the Senate will move to debate the motion to add more witnesses and documents — that will begin at 1 p.m., and there are four hours of debate, evenly divided, but the White House side might not use all of its time. So expect a vote on that around 4-5 p.m.-ish. Then, they have to motion to move to the final vote — a motion that is subject to amendments, which gives Democrats berth to attempt to slow things down. In short: Friday could be a late night.”
