The U.S. Senate voted to acquit President Trump on two articles of impeachment.
The vote to convict on abuse of power was 48 to 52. The vote to convict on obstruction of Congress was 47 to 53.
In the end, the vote to convict and remove Trump from office was bipartisan, with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) joining every Democrat and two independents on the abuse of power article. Romney voted not guilty on the obstruction of Congress article.
Every other Republican voted to acquit the president.
