Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is the first senator to test positive for coronavirus.
Paul tweeted that he is asymptomatic and was tested “out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person.”
Axios: “Paul, a notorious deficit hawk, was the only senator to vote against a bipartisan $8 billion deal to provide emergency coronavirus funding earlier this month.”
