Trump Suggested Letting Virus ‘Wash Over’ Country

In a conversation with Dr. Anthony Fauci last month, President Trump questioned why health officials couldn’t simply let the coronavirus pandemic “wash over the country,” according to the Washington Post.

“Fauci initially seemed confused by the term ‘wash over’ but became alarmed once he understood what Trump was asking.”

Said Fauci: “Mr. President, many people would die.”
