Chuck Schumer Owes Democrats an Apology

We learned today that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) had clearly indicated to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that he would not promise to vote for a budget reconciliation package of more than $1.5 trillion — less than half the $3.5 trillion many Democrats are seeking.
