Texas voters will choose party nominees for statewide seats, including governor, and newly drawn congressional districts. If no candidate in a primary election receives a majority of the vote, the top two vote-getters go head-to-head in a runoff in May.
Axios: “The Texas primaries on Tuesday offer opening battles in a wider ideological war for the direction of the Republican Party, specifically the role former President Trump should play in its future.”
Polls close at 8 p.m. ET in most of the state, but won’t close statewide until 9 p.m. ET.
