Manchin Has ‘No Intention’ of Switching Parties

December 12, 2022 · 4:56 pm ET · Leave a Comment

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) “left the door open to one day becoming an independent, three days after Arizona colleague Kyrsten Sinema announced that she was leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent herself,” ABC News reports.

Said Manchin: “I don’t know how you get more independent than I am. I look at all of these things, I’ve always looked at all of these things. But I have no intention of doing anything right now. Whether I do something later, I can’t tell you what the future is going to bring.”
