Agencies Given Deadline for Plans to Move Away from D.C.

“The Trump administration is giving federal agencies until mid-April to suggest relocations of bureaus and offices out of the D.C. region, a move that would have widespread impacts on the local economy,” the Washington Post reports.

“The move comes amid a broader push by the administration to cut its real estate footprint and drastically reduce the size of the federal government workforce. Spurred by Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service, several agencies have announced plans to slash some teams by as much as 90 percent.”
