Shutdown Fight Could Delay GOP Budget Push

“Senate Majority Leader John Thune said that GOP leaders will have to turn their attention to a looming government shutdown deadline after spending weeks intensely focused on advancing President Donald Trump’s domestic policy agenda,” Politico reports.

Said Sen. John Thune (R-SD): “We’ve got to get through the March 14 deadline first, but then we’ve also got to get work on the bigger project — the budget resolution and ultimately reconciliation.”
