“President Donald Trump indicated Friday that he is considering imposing ‘large scale’ sanctions on Russia to pressure the country into a ceasefire and peace deal with Ukraine,” the Washington Post reports.
He added that both Russia and Ukraine needed to get to the negotiating table “before it is too late.”
