It’s no longer news when Donald Trump lies, breaks the law, or abuses his office for personal gain. These things still enrage Democrats, but among Trump’s base, they barely register.

That’s because his supporters long ago made peace with who he is. They know he lies. They know he cheats. They know he’s vulgar and self-serving.
